As a wedding photographer, I often receive inquiries for weddings on dates I am already booked. Especially if you live in the Twin Cities and are planning your wedding for the month of September. This has and probably will always be the busiest month of weddings for me. It makes sense; the changing colors, the fall weather… if you live in Minnesota you get it.
I wanted to take a moment to share some of my favorite photographers (some local, some not) in order to hopefully help any couples in search of their perfect photographer.
I have never met Michaella. I am unsure how I even found her - more than likely on Instagram. She captures moments and images in a way I could only dream of. She is based out of NYC and Atlanta and travels worldwide for weddings. If I could do my wedding over again I would have hired her in a heartbeat. Sift through her copious amount of images taken in a true documentary style and swoon.
2. Evan Davies
Evan is a photographer I met thanks to my good friend who hired him to capture her wedding day in Santa Barbara. Evan is also super cool as he is based out of Nashville and Detroit and travels worldwide for weddings. He loves film and is an outrageously kind and warm person.
I met Stephanie years ago probably through photographer. We’ve worked weddings together and I am so happy she is now pursuing weddings more intensely. If you live in the midwest and want someone who will capture the weird, unexpected moments on film in a true documentarian style - she is your gal.
Zoe and I also met years ago thanks to this business. Zoe has been doing this for a long time now but started her career shooting live shows and bands. She’s a dedicated and focused photographer who is always trying new things to keep her on her toes. She shoots film as well and is always down for anything. We’ve traveled together and shared a studio space and will continue to recommend one another for as long as we are in this business.
Crystal is someone who I have yet to work alongside but if I ever had the chance I think I would learn a lot. She is a pro in the world of documenting people and has an ease and coolness about her that is indescribable. She is weird and loud and crazy and loves what she does. Her eye for capturing images is so unique and cannot be matched. She also is a whiz with the flash.
