I had never met Fernanda and Yon until the day before their wedding ceremony in the city of Morelia. Yon is my best friend Sam's older brother. When Fernanda and Yon were engaged last fall, they announced their date to close family and friends and I received the call. Sam asked me to be there to capture their day(s) and I knew I couldn't miss it. Visiting Morelia was a new experience for me. Morelia sits in central Mexico and the architecture and culture in the city is so unique. There is so much to do but it is also not overwhelmingly populated.
I knew the moment I met Fernanda and Yon that they were ready to be husband and wife. There is so much love and comfort between the two of them - it's contagious. They are adorable together.
There wedding was divided into two days. The first was the religious ceremony in the cathedral in town. It began right before sunset and their reception/party immediately followed. We danced and celebrated into the morning (yes I am talking like 5:00 am) and continued with their civil ceremony the following afternoon. After a late lunch we wandered a few blocks in the city to take photos during daylight hours.
Sift through the images I feel make up their story, and hopefully you'll feel like you are there with us - celebrating.
