jenny and gerick are new friends of mine. I met jenny working as a forever bride member at a networking event last year. I immediately knew our personalities clicked. this summer, before even meeting her other half, gerick proposed. I blame it on busy schedules and the fact that jenny and I normally just wanted an excuse to eat good food and talk girly things, without our mates. from the moment I met gerick, I liked him. after meeting a few months ago to take some shots on my 35mm we agreed to do it again - but this time, while camping. couple camping. mid october we drove out to camp on lake maria. we wandered the trails til dusk and captured some real love. drank a bit of champagne and hard cider and got silly. enjoy this mix of digital and film.
anna and zach traveled from their current home in illinois to wed on anna's parent's land in the small town of preston, mn. the wedding party started their morning at the jailhouse inn, an old jail converted into a bed and breakfast. they both met at the top of a bluff overlooking the river and valley below. their ceremony overlooked the same scenic charm. anna walked out a little cabin her dad built down the aisle to an instrumental version of mazzy star's fade into you. from the small details - crayons and a coloring page for the children, to mead fermented by zach and anna exactly one year prior for the wedding toast. this wedding was perfect, from a - z.

looking back on how many e-mails and texts kellie and I have shared, it is no wonder I had trouble holding tears back during their ceremony. this marked my first wedding back in the game after having a baby. I think I really lucked out. after hours of conversation shared over every food item on the menu (thanks to justin), family photos, engagement photos and a secret boudoir session from him to her - it is safe to say my relationship with the eastmans is one I will cherish for life. congratulations to both you beautiful souls.
